Where it all began
The Beginning
Like many of their friends and couples, Angel and Kervin’s relationship started in college at Pensacola, FL. Kervin switched majors to accounting and met Angel through a mutual close friend and by sharing classes. Although Kervin and Angel became friends in the fall of 2022, their romantic interest didn’t blossom until the following fall of 2023. That semester was the first time Angel and Kervin really started to take notice of each other’s company, character, and charm. October 15th, 2023, was the first time Kervin told Angel of his feelings for her and his desire to know her more, and Angel revealed she felt the same way. What started just as classmates and study buddies was quickly becoming something much more and meaningful.

Building Our Love
Although Kervin and Angel had already confessed their feelings for each other, they both agreed that it was important to officially ask Angel’s father for his blessing to officially court/date her. Fortunately, her parents were already scheduled to visit her brother who already lived in Olney, MD where Angel was also going to be spending her 2023 winter break. On December 18, 2023, Kervin was able talk with Angel’s father, expressing his desire to date Angel with the full intention of marrying her one day. After her dad gave his blessing, Angel and Kervin wasted no time going on their first official date together which included a Christmas lights show in Washington DC. This date marked the official beginning of their relationship and love for each other.

A moment we'll never forget
The Proposal
After growing closer together and dating for close to a year, Kervin and Angel knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. With Angel’s parents living in a whole different country and time zone, Kervin was able to setup a call with them in the fall of 2024 to officially ask their permission to marry their daughter. With the blessing of her father, all that was left to do was the setup and planning of the proposal. Kervin received much needed support and help from close college friends, his brothers, an amazing local photographer, and a very generous property manager who allowed him to propose on a normally rented venue/event space. On December 7, 2024, on the last Saturday before the semester ended, Kervin was able to carry out the perfect surprise proposal in the beautiful Florida beach town of 30A.

The beginning of forever
Forever
Since the proposal, the wedding date would be deterred by some life challenges in both Kervin and Angel’s lives, including the timing of graduating college, job situations, locations of the wedding, and finances of course. But after persevering through it all , they have found this “delay” to be nothing short of God’s perfect timing, preparation, faithfulness, and blessing. During this period of waiting, Angel and Kervin were able to learn, understand, grow, and love each other more, and God was able to grow, guide, and protect them as well. God provided an amazing church that was much needed for both their individual growth and relationship together now and for the future. All this time waiting also provided the most beautiful and perfect venue. As this special day continues to get closer, the reminder of God’s faithfulness and love continues to become more apparent each passing day. The bride and groom cannot wait to share it all of you who have had a positive impact in our lives. They look forward to seeing you all at The Chapel in Catonsville, MD on July 19, 2027!
